West Ham must take advantage as positive omen emerges ahead of Newcastle clash
West Ham’s miserable run of form may be extended when they face Newcastle on Sunday afternoon.
The London Stadium club have started the season with a whimper and have won just one of their opening nine Premier League matches.
West Ham are genuine relegation contenders, and there has been no sign of Nuno Espirito Santo turning it around at the moment.
He will hope that they can finally put it together when the Geordies travel to East London on 2 November.

Newcastle’s recent away record should give West Ham hope
West Ham could set an embarrassing club first in the clash, but Nuno also has a reason to take encouragement.
Eddie Howe’s side have failed to win in their last seven league away matches, and have failed to score in four of those games.
The Magpies have drawn four and lost three matches on the road, a run that stretches back to the 4-1 defeat to Aston Villa on 19 April.

How Nuno can turn things around at West Ham
If they can secure victory against Howe’s side, it could be the tonic that the Irons need to turn their campaign around.
Nuno needs to bring positivity, and he needs to unite the fanbase by getting results, there is no other way that he can stop the negative atmosphere that has surrounded the club recently.
- Nuno has managed four games as West Ham boss
- They have not won a single game in his reign
- They sit 19th on four points, six points away from safety
The E20 outfit looks primed for relegation at the moment, but there is still plenty of time for them to pull themselves out of danger.
Nuno needs to steady the ship and pick up some positive results before the transfer window reopens so that they are not adrift.
Then, he can make the signings that he needs and have the right squad in place to mount a proper survival battle, rather than being stuck with Graham Potter’s squad.
The Hammers should then be in a position to pull themselves out of the mire and maintain their top-flight status.
