West Ham in excellent position to extend seven-year streak vs Bournemouth in remarkable new reveal
West Ham are aiming to get the better of Bournemouth once again when the two sides meet at the London Stadium on Saturday.
Although the Cherries currently sit ninth in the Premier League table, they won’t find it easy coming up against the Hammers.
West Ham have won 10 points from their last five Premier League games, and Nuno Espirito Santo is finally starting to get the best out of his players.
As for Andoni Iraola‘s side, they haven’t lost in any of their last six matches, and no side has won more Premier League games in 2026 so far (four).
While Nuno has a mixed record when facing Bournemouth, several stats show that West Ham look set to extend their seven-year unbeaten run against the visitors.

WestHam haven’t lost to Bournemouth since 2019
West Ham are unbeaten in their last nine Premier League meetings with Bournemouth since a 2-0 away loss in January 2019.
In that time, they have won three and drawn six of those games, which is very impressive, given how well the Cherries have developed over the last few years.
Losing to Iraola’s side would be a big blow to West Ham‘s survival hopes, but a stalemate could be the most likely outcome.
| Stat | West Ham |
| Wins | 8 |
| Draws | 8 |
| Losses | 5 |
Each of the last five Premier League meetings between Bournemouth and West Ham have ended as a draw.
Only three fixtures have finished level more than six times in a row in the competition, with the Hammers involved in two: Birmingham versus Liverpool (seven draws between 2005-2010), Aston Villa against West Ham (seven draws between 1998-2001) and Brighton versus West Ham (seven draws between 2019-2021).
The reverse fixture between the two sides finished 2-2 at the Vitality Stadium on 22 November, with Callum Wilson scoring a brace against his old side before the hosts fought back to claim a point in the second half.
West Ham fans will be buoyed by the fact they have been Bournemouth’s bogey team in recent meetings, and they could be set for another vital three points at the London Stadium.

Neither West Ham or Bournemouth can hold onto a lead
Although the Hammers are in a good position to beat Iraola’s side, they have squandered several opportunities to secure three points all season long.
West Ham have dropped more points from winning positions than any other side in the Premier League this season (20), while Bournemouth rank third (18).
Only in 2019-20 (26), 2010-11 (22), 2016-17 (22), and 2023-24 (21) have the Hammers dropped more points in those scenarios in a single campaign.
| Team | Points dropped from winning positions |
| West Ham | 20 |
| Newcastle | 19 |
| Bournemouth | 18 |
| Chelsea | 17 |
The Hammers took a 2-0 lead against Chelsea and went on to lose the match 3-2 on 31 January, while they were pegged back by a 96th-minute equaliser by Man United in the 1-1 draw on 11 February.
Despite the fact that their form is much improved, West Ham still haven’t addressed this issue, which could come back to haunt them if they end up getting relegated.
Luckily for them, the Cherries haven’t fared much better, and the clash in E20 could definitely be a topsy-turvy affair.
However, given West Ham’s impressive record against Bournemouth, a win for the hosts looks very likely.
