Nuno Espirito Santo has major problem at West Ham amid Jarrod Bowen reveal

West Ham have been far too over-reliant on Jarrod Bowen.

Relegation is a real possibility for West Ham, who, ahead of their clash with Bournemouth at the weekend, sit third-bottom of the Premier League.

With that said, the Irons have started to find some form under Nuno Espirito Santo, with two wins in a row against Newcastle and Burnley.

Bowen was unable to register a goal or an assist in either of those games, though he was still influential in the offensive areas, with a wider reveal showcasing the problem West Ham have with the Englishman.

Jarrod Bowen has the weight of the Hammers on his shoulders

Bowen has once again been outstanding for West Ham this season, despite the general struggles of the side after 11 games.

With three goals and one assist, the 28-year-old has been directly involved in four of the Hammers’ 13 league goals so far this campaign.

However, while those stats bode well for his performances, they showcase just how over-reliant West Ham have been on him once again.

Only Erling Haaland and Bruno Fernandes have been directly involved in a higher proportion of their side’s shots than Bowen in the league this season.

Bowen has taken 26 of the Irons’ 115 shots this season, with 11 shot-creating chances on top of that.

In total, 32.2 per cent of West Ham’s chances have arrived as a result of Bowen, with 34.2 per cent of Man United’s attempts arriving from Fernandes.

West Ham need to bolster their attack in January

Even before it was revealed that Niclas Fullkrug will be leaving West Ham, it was evident that attacking reinforcements were going to be needed in January.

West Ham are an injury to Bowen away from relegation in reality, and all it takes is for the Englishman to suffer a drop in form before their results showcase his importance.

Crysencio Summerville needs to step up under Nuno, with the likes of Lucas Paqueta also needing to show far more.

While Bowen has singlehandedly carried West Ham before, they need to lift some of the weight off his shoulders.
