Axel Disasi deserved more than he got after what was seen in West Ham’s draw vs Man United
Axel Disasi’s performance in West Ham’s draw to Manchester United on Tuesday deserved a Man of the Match award.
The Hammers drew 1-1 with Michael Carrick’s side at the London Stadium, putting an end to the Red Devils’ four-game winning run.
Disasi didn’t deserve to be on the losing team and was so close to helping Nuno Espirito Santo‘s side to another huge three points.
West Ham are battling for Premier League survival, and the centre-back has been a huge addition to Nuno’s backline.
The emerging statistics from the game prove that the Frenchman had a Man of the Match award robbed from him due to Benjamin Sesko’s late leveller.

Axel Disasi was rock solid once more vs Manchester United; the stats prove it
Disasi had a great debut against Burnley, grabbing a clean sheet on his first Premier League appearance since May last year.
The 27-year-old was set to keep his second clean sheet in as many games against Man United, but Sesko unfortunately had other plans.

As highlighted by Sofascore, Disasi had an 86 per cent passing accuracy against Carrick’s high-pressing system, and made eight defensive contributions.
Stats aren’t always the be all end all, however, as any West Ham fan inside the London Stadium will have been able to see the Chelsea loanee’s brilliance on show against United.
The rating of 6.5 was ultimately dragged down significantly by the last-minute goal, and he could have even bagged himself an individual trophy already, had the Hammers kept Man United at bay.
Why Disasi could be more important than any other winter signing
Taty Castellanos got off the mark against Burnley last weekend, but the Argentine has a huge responsibility to score goals from now until the end of the season, given his hefty price tag.
There will also be an expectancy for Pablo to be a success in front of goal, but his injury setback hasn’t helped the Hammers, who, as shown in stats by Sofascore, have more goals than any Premier League side in the opening 15 minutes of games this term.
West Ham have had defensive issues for a while, and the arrival of Disasi went under the radar.
The Irons only had to fork out £1.6million in loan fees for the Chelsea man, and it could yet be the best money that David Sullivan has ever spent, if the defender can help Nuno’s side stay up.
