West Ham insist Declan Rice is not available at any price

West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice has rejected two contract offers from the club to put Chelsea and Manchester United on alert, according to The Telegraph.

The England international is a wanted man after a fine campaign with the Hammers, but the club are not keen on selling him this summer.

According to The Athletic, “the word at the top of West Ham is that Rice is not available at any price.”

West Ham

Until when?

As revealed by trusted Hammers source ExWHUemployee, Andriy Yarmolenko currently earns more than the 22-year-old, and the recent two offers are still below what the Ukrainian earns.

We do not understand the reasoning behind West Ham’s decision to hand their most important player such deals, but he is absolutely right to knock them back.

Rice was very crucial to our finishing sixth last term, and a lot of fans believe David Moyes’ men would have finished in the top-four had he not missed six Premier League games during the business end of the campaign.

West Ham clearly do not want to lose the midfielder this summer, but that could change next summer if he is not offered a deal that reflects his status, ability and importance in the squad.

We are not surprised that David Gold, David Sullivan and Karren Brady have made such a ridiculous decision, though.

Rice deserves to be one of the highest players at the club, and a lot of teams would not hesitate to meet his demands should an exit become feasible.

We cannot afford to lose the Irons ace anytime soon, and hopefully, the club does right by him.
