David Sullivan has to sanction head-spinning West Ham United bid amid Max Kilman update at Wolves
David Sullivan will have to sanction a head-spinning bid if West Ham United are to sign Max Kilman for Wolves.
According to Ben Jacobs, Wolves are not actively looking to sell their captain this summer but a £45million bid would be too much to turn down.
Posting via his personal X account [19 June], the journalist added that West Ham are now “considering a bid” for a player Wolves paid £40k for.
Wolves clearly have a set figure in mind, having supposedly already rejected an offer of £30m from Napoli for the defender.
West Ham United make Max Kilman top summer transfer target
United are said to have made Kilman their top summer target, with the 27-year-old having previously worked under Julen Lopetegui.
TEAMtalk reported on Wednesday (19 June), meanwhile, that the player himself is open to a move to London Stadium.
The ball is very much now in West Ham’s court, then – they either match Wolves’ hefty valuation, or they simply move on.
While we are still in the early stages of the transfer window, the Irons cannot afford to deliberate over the decision for much longer.
It goes without saying that £45m for Kilman seems incredibly steep, but Wolves do not want to sell and nor do they need to sell.
United, for example, likely would not accept anything less than £90million for Bowen, say, because of the same reasons outlined above.
And if Kilman is to be the marquee arrival of the summer, Sullivan must get his head around the figures required quickly.
