Michail Antonio looks silly with Crystal Palace comments, cannot do same ahead of West Ham United v Tottenham
West Ham ace Michail Antonio – not for the first time this season – has been made to look silly with comments he made ahead of the meeting with Crystal Palace.
Speaking on The Players Channel podcast [1 December, 37m 58s], Antonio predicted a comfortable 2-0 win for the Hammers against London rivals Palace.
However, that did not prove the case as Odsonne Edouard cancelled out Mohammed Kudus’ first-half goal to earn the Eagles a share of the points on Sunday (3 December).

There is nothing wrong with Antonio predicting a victory for the Hammers, of course, but it does leave him open to ridicule from opposition supporters at times.
Back in September, the Jamaica international made headlines with comments he made ahead of the Premier League trip to Liverpool, which United lost 3-1.
“I think we are going to finish higher than Liverpool this season,” Antonio said at the time. It was a bold call back then, and one that now looks even bolder now as West Ham trail the Reds by 10 points.
Given he is currently on the sidelines, Antonio will no doubt ramp up his podcasting duties and give plenty more predictions regarding West Ham’s upcoming fixtures.

But having been made to look silly a couple of times, let’s hope he keeps his mouth quiet ahead of the trip to Tottenham on Thursday (7 December).
The last thing we need is for Spurs fans to dig up any of his comments should they come out on top, though that hopefully will not be an issue as there is no reason we cannot come away from the game with a point or more.
In other West Ham news, a first-team player may have a big decision to make with regards to his future in the coming weeks.
