West Ham United must pull out of race to sign troublesome Moise Kean

West Ham United might be desperate for another striker to add to their armoury but they may have gone a step too far in their hunt.

Michail Antonio has been the only recognised striker in the senior squad ever since Sebastien Haller left the London Stadium for Ajaz where he has excelled in the Eredivisie.

David Moyes wants to essentially find his replacement 12 months on and it could come in the shape of Everton outcast Moise Kean.

According to the Italian media outlet Corriere Dello Sport, the Irons have made an offer for the 22-year-old despite him still having one year left on his current loan deal from Goodison Park to Juventus.

The Serie A side are desperate to get out of their obligation to buy the Italian international but appear destined to be forced into paying £27.5million to make his two-year loan a permanent move.

The Hammers though may be able to offer the Old Lady a much-needed way out with this transfer attempt but it would be a colossal mistake to do such a thing.

Perhaps it has never occurred to the West Ham board but there has to be a very good reason as to why Juventus are so keen to get rid of Kean before he has even become their player.

The 22-year-old has been a troublesome figure wherever he has played which is a large reason why he is yet to live up to the potential that he showed while playing youth football in Europe.

Even though we do need another number nine to give Antonio some much-needed rest during the campaign, Kean is not the answer to our problems because he will only cause more of them if he joins us.

In other West Ham news, we should go all-in to sign this Englishman as he is available for a bargain price of just £15million.
