Mohammed Kudus doubles West Ham United goals tally without kicking a ball
Mohammed Kudus doubled his goal tally for West Ham on Saturday [23 September] before even kicking a ball.
The Hammers are set to take on Brentford in West London in the Premier League this weekend, fresh on the back of a 3-1 win over Backa Topola.
Kudus was on the scoresheet in that Europa League group game with a nicely taken header, having earlier played a part in the Hammers’ opener.

However, while his header was widely considered to be his first for the club, it now appears it was actually his second.
That is because UEFA updated the scorers list on their official website to also credit Kudus with the opening goal of the night.
It had originally gone down as an own goal for Nemanja Petrovic, who bundled Said Benrahma’s cross into his own net under pressure from Kudus.
But Kudus made enough contact with the ball for UEFA to now seemingly credit him with the goal – a decision no doubt also welcomed by Topola left-back Petrovic.

Indeed, the Europa League website now shows Kudus as one of five players on two goals at the top of this season’s scoring charts.
Whether it is one goal or two on his full debut, the Ghana international is certainly on his way to justifying his hefty price tag.
In other West Ham news, a pundit has raved about a “fantastic” player United have in their ranks.
