West Ham United handed transfer boost after latest update on Manchester United ace Amad Diallo

West Ham endured a rollercoaster campaign, with the East London outfit leaving it late to secure their Premier League survival before lifting the Europa Conference League trophy.

All in all, it can be considered a very successful season, but it shouldn’t prevent the Hammers from delving into the summer transfer market for some much-needed reinforcements.

The club will no doubt say goodbye to a handful of senior players this summer, including captain Declan Rice, meaning they will need to be both swift and smart when recruiting new faces over the coming months.

And one new face that could arrive this summer is Manchester United attacker Amad Diallo, with the Hammers among a handful of Premier League clubs expressing an interest in the 20-year-old, according to The Northern Echo (4 June).

The East London side have now been handed a boost in that pursuit, with The Athletic reporting that Manchester United plan to loan the forward to a Premier League club this season.

The publication notes that the Red Devils feel the youngster would develop best in the top flight, having spent the last season on loan at Championship side Sunderland.

Fortunately, the sale of Rice should help West Ham bring in huge finances, but they could definitely save money by landing Red Devils youngster Diallo on loan.

Attack is certainly an area that David Moyes needs to improve, and the 20-year-old could provide him with a very decent option in the final third, whether it be in the starting XI or from the substitute bench.

The boss will want to strengthen all over as the club aims to fight on all fronts, having earned a place in next season’s Europa League following their fine success in Europe this season.

But he will need a bigger and more talented squad to be able to maintain a balance across all competitions, something which the Hammers struggled with over the last few months.
