West Ham United given go-ahead to chase Alberth Elis deal
Having signed a defender, goalkeeper and midfielder already this summer, a striker is next on the radar of West Ham United.
Many names have been floated around but no imminent arrival at the sharp end of the pitch is expected which means there is still time for other names to rocket to the top of our shopping list.
One of those who may make the perfect man to challenge Michail Antonio up top would be Bordeaux talisman Alberth Elis [Diario Diez] with the French side relegated to the third tier for financial reasons after a tough year in Ligue 1.

The Honduras international was the top scorer for the club last season but his agent has admitted that his exit from the French outfit seems almost certain this summer.
“It is obvious that Elis is going to leave Girondins, it is a matter of having patience,” he said, as quoted by Hondudiario. “The transfer window is just beginning, the club’s situation is difficult, we are working for that.
“They are talking to many clubs because when all this happens, the situation opens up a range of opportunities, and the player and the family are very calm, analyzing everything that is coming.”

That is as clear a green light as we will ever get to go all out to make a signing and we could well get him for a very cheap price too given the desperate situation Bordeaux have found themselves in.
Elis’ versatility is exactly what David Moyes likes from his attackers and being able to play wide as well as through the middle would make him fit in well alongside Jarrod Bowen and Antonio in our front three.
West Ham can make this happen for much less than any other deal they may be linked with and he can score the goals Moyes desires as long as we pull our fingers out and get on with it.
