West Ham United fans should be worried as Daniel Kretinsky splashes £37.5m
Daniel Kretinsky is a man with an absurd amount of money in his pocket and a good chunk of it is going towards West Ham United.
The Czech Republic businessman has a 33% stake in the Irons and is keen to increase that share if David Gold and David Sullivan ever choose to lessen their impact on the club.
But perhaps it should be a worry for West Ham fans that Kretinsky has just spent a whopping £37.5million on buying himself a French castle.

According to Bloomberg, Kretinsky is a leading figure in an “investment vehicle” which has purchased the grounds of Chateau du Marais with the intention to convert it into a luxury hotel complex.
The Hammers shareholder has entered a 50-50 joint investment with Jiri Smejc to complete the deal but still had to shell out a large amount of his own money to do it.
The £37.5million he has parted with is less than West Ham spent to sign Italian international striker Gianluca Scamacca in the summer who was one of David Moyes’ headline arrivals.
After the less than impressive start to the season, some fans will have been worried that the money had been wasted in the wrong areas but the win at home to Wolves has alleviated those worries.

West Ham aren’t out of the woods though because someone with such a big say at the London Stadium should not be spending this much cash on other ventures where at all possible.
Kretinsky has his fingers in too many pies at the moment with his vast amount of companies and investments taking up a large amount of his money.
That could all be very helpful for the Irons if it was all put into the club’s kitty to go on and start to make a proper push towards being a Premier League-challenging club which is within reach with that final little bit of investment they need,
