West Ham to suffer consequences of Thomas Frank sack as Tottenham exit announced
Thomas Frank’s departure from Tottenham could serve as a huge blow for West Ham.
West Ham’s 1-1 draw with Man United was a huge point, but also a huge disappointment given that the Hammers were literally seconds away from reducing the gap from safety to just goal difference.
However, despite the Hammers’ recent resurgence, West Ham are still among the favourites to drop into the Championship under Nuno Espirito Santo.
With 12 games to go, plenty of pressure will be on them to maintain this current form, but the latest news from Tottenham may set them back in their pursuit of Premier League safety.

Thomas Frank sacked as Tottenham manager
With Sunderland up in 11th, and still the only team in the Premier League who have yet to lose at home this season, at least one of the top-flight’s status quo is going to get relegated.
Leeds United are just four points from the bottom three, meaning that could be reduced to one should they suffer a drop in form.
However, West Ham are currently reliant on either them, Nottingham Forest or Tottenham to drop points in the final 12 games of the season if they are to avoid the drop, and based on current form, the most likely of those three is actually Tottenham.
However, now that they have moved to sack Frank, the expectation is that they will hire a new manager to get them out of the immediate mess that they are in.
And for West Ham, that will be a blow to their survival chances.
Nuno will still be optimistic about their chances of catching up to Forest or Leeds, but with one team potentially now set to move out of contention, even more pressure is on their shoulders.
The game that could decide West Ham’s Premier League fate
Last season, the bottom three were nearly confirmed by this stage, with Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton all dropping straight back down.
However, this time, it looks as though the fight for survival could go down to the wire, and even more so in West Ham’s case.
That is because the Irons face Leeds United on the final day of the season at the London Stadium, in what could easily decide the fate for either side.
As things stand, Leeds are six points above the Hammers with 12 games still to be played, showcasing just how much may hinge on that final day encounter.
Nottingham Forest are at home to Bournemouth on the same day, while Tottenham welcome Everton to North London.
