West Ham to miss out on Jose Mourinho chance of lifetime after Graham Potter sack latest
West Ham’s hopes of landing Jose Mourinho look set to come to a frustrating end.
Mourinho was linked with West Ham earlier this month after he was sacked by Fenerbahce, just two Super Lig games into the campaign.
This saw Mourinho enter the radar of West Ham, especially off the back of a poor start to the season with Graham Potter in the London Stadium dugout.
Most recently, West Ham lost 3-0 against Tottenham, piling further pressure on the English head coach and his role in E20.
If the ex-Chelsea boss had been sacked, Mourinho appeared to be an ideal candidate, but now it appears that David Sullivan and Karren Brady have been too slow in their approach.

Jose Mourinho set to join Benfica instead of West Ham
With Mourinho already living in London, it did feel as if a move to the Olympic Park would have made sense for all parties.
A return to the Premier League is something that the Portuguese head coach has discussed in recent years, but that looks to be off the cards.
This comes after reports emerged from Fabrizio Romano on 17 September suggesting that the former Real Madrid man is set to return to Benfica.
This comes after Bruno Lage was sacked by the Liga Portugal outfit after his side suffered a shock defeat against Qarabag in their opening match of the Champions League.
Mourinho is said to have opened the doors ahead of a move to his homeland, with an agreement set to be sealed soon.
It is fair to say that this will go down badly at the London Stadium, leaving Brady and Sullivan with more questions to answer.

David Sullivan and Karren Brady to blame for Jose Mourinho miss
There is little positivity surrounding the boardroom in E20 as failings on the pitch are matched by the frustrating actions from the hierarchy.
Sullivan and Co. have come under scrutiny for the move to the London Stadium and a series of poor decisions that have negatively impacted footballing performance.
This has been seen with Potter this season, something which could have been changed if Mourinho had taken up the role, with replacements already being eyed.
Instead, the 55-year-old is set to join Benfica instead of the Irons, something which could be yet another blotch against the Hammers’ record.
