West Ham signing Jordan Zemura important to intensify competition at left-back
West Ham United are interested in making a move for Bournemouth defender Jordan Zemura, according to talkSPORT.
The Hammers are coming off the back of an impressive campaign where they finished seventh in the league table and cemented a spot in the last four of the UEFA Europa League.
Manager David Moyes is especially keen to bolster the defensive unit and as per the latest report, there is concrete interest in making a move for the Zimbabwe international.

The report further stated that the 22-year-old has only one year left on his current deal and the Cherries are yet to decide whether to sell him this summer or let him run down his contract.
Good Competition
Moyes knows that if he wants to go one step ahead in the European competition this time, he needs competition within every position in his side.
Even though a lot of talks have been about the striker’s position, there are other places as well where there is a need for reinforcement as well.
Fullback is one of those positions and arguably the most demanding in football. It results in the most injuries and therefore, it is important that the former Manchester United manager has cover in both of his fullback positions.

Even though Aaron Cresswell is a great fullback but he is already 32-year-old and the age is clearly catching up on him.
Therefore, the signing of Zemura will be an important one as he can be a great addition to the overall squad.
In the 2021-22 season for Bournemouth, the Zimbabwe international made 33 championship appearances, scoring three goals and providing one assist [Transfermarkt].
