West Ham should double down and sign these two Bristol City stars

West Ham may need to do some serious rebuilding in the summer depending on who stays at the London Stadium and who doesn’t.

The rumours are circling regarding Hammers vice-captain Declan Rice and star man Jarrod Bowen and David Moyes could be left in trouble if they both leave.

Maybe, though, there are ready-made replacements playing at the same Championship club that could do the job in their absence.

Starting with the Rice-shaped hole in midfield that would be an enormous job to fill should he leave, 19-year-old Alex Scott could be the answer they require.

ExWHUEmployee believes the Irons are interested in the teenager as he mentioned on the West Ham Way podcast.

While they aren’t the only suitors for Scott, they could sweeten the deal for the Robins if they reignite their interest in another of their players.

Back in March, TEAMtalk reported that West Ham was among those chasing attacker Antoine Semenyo and he would be a great option to support, or even replace, Bowen on the right-hand side.

Bristol City might not want to lose both of their star players but the Hammers could offer a very enticing offer that they would find hard to turn down in a package deal.

It may even hand the chance to some of the Irons’ Under-23 stars to gain some experience at the senior level if they move in the opposite direction on loan.

Semenyo’s playstyle is very similar to that of Bowen with a strong left foot, cutting in off the right and troubling his opposite number all game long.

His goal record isn’t anything spectacular but the chaos he causes is worth more than one or two more goals.

Scott though is a little more under-developed and maybe next season will be too soon to elevate him to such a level but he could definitely do a backup job in place of Mark Noble, who retires this season.

It would take a lot to get both of these young talents but the EFL is full of Premier League players in waiting and these two might be next.

In other West Ham news, Jack Wilshere says it was a dream to sign for the Irons in 2018 having joined his new club in Denmark.
