Kyle Walker-Peters could arrive at the London Stadium as the Irons’ first signing next summer amid links of a move from Southampton.
The Englishman has played in several positions for the Saints this season, but they’re set to be relegated from the Premier League.
It would make sense for some of the Hampshire outfit’s players to want to leave at the end of the campaign, and the 27-year-old right-back could potentially be one of them.
West Ham have already made Walker-Peters a contract offer through his representative as they look to sign him, according to talkSPORT.

The news outlet reports (9 April) that the Hammers want to be quick to beat their competitors in the race for the defender’s signature.
It’s been claimed that while Potter is pleased with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, he believes the Southampton star could be a valuable addition to the squad.
With the former Manchester United ace locking down his position at right-back, it feels like Walker-Peters may be of more use on the left-hand side of the defence.
That would leave Emerson with a big decision to make over his future, and he may opt to leave for pastures new.
