West Ham must quickly move on from Endrick transfer pursuit amid latest update at Real Madrid

West Ham have been heavily linked with a move for Endrick in the January transfer window.

The 19-year-old star is desperate to leave Real Madrid on loan this winter, after receiving a hugely limited amount of gametime so far this season.

West Ham are among the potential suitors for Endrick, who only notched his first competitive appearance of the 2025-26 campaign last weekend, when he was introduced as a late substitute against Valencia.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have seemingly been pushing to secure the signature of the forward for the second half of the season, but a fatal update has now emerged from the Spanish capital.

Premier League move off the table for Endrick in January

West Ham made their intentions to sign Endrick clear a few weeks ago, with a winter exit from Real Madrid looking increasingly likely for the youngster.

He has fallen out of favour with Xabi Alonso, who has a wealth of world-class depth to call upon, especially in the attacking areas of the pitch.

However, an update has now emerged that will surely force the Hammers to bury their pursuit and turn their attention elsewhere in their hunt to sign a new striker.

Endrick is effectively unable to complete a move to the Premier League this winter, according to Brazilian journalist Andre Hernan via his X account.

The starlet is currently applying for Spanish citizenship, and a move outside of the European Union would derail that process for him.

With that in mind, it seems totally counterproductive for Endrick to choose to complete a Premier League switch in the upcoming window, and as a result, West Ham will surely have to admit defeat.

West Ham must secure a decent sum for Niclas Fullkrug

Niclas Fullkrug could leave West Ham in January, as his disastrous spell in East London looks set to come to an end in the near future.

The German joined the Hammers for a fee of £27million in the summer of 2024, but has since managed just three goals in competitive action as injuries have badly hindered him.

David Sullivan and Co. will surely be under no illusions that they will be able to recoup their full initial outlay on the 32-year-old, but it is still vital that they secure a reasonable sum for him this winter, as that could easily dictate the quality of the replacement that they can bring in.

West Ham find themselves in serious trouble in the Premier League, and a bigger threat at the top of the pitch is certainly needed if they are to beat the drop.
