West Ham have Jarrod Bowen omen to overcome ahead of Brighton clash
Jarrod Bowen’s record against Brighton will only add to pessimism levels ahead of this weekend’s game.
West Ham travel to face Brighton on Sunday, knowing that anything less than three points could see them cut adrift in the relegation zone.
The Irons have won just six per cent of their clashes with Brighton, and if that record continues this weekend, more pressure will be piled on the shoulders of Nuno Espirito Santo.
Typically, Bowen has been the saviour for West Ham, and while Nuno will once again be looking towards him to produce the magic, his record against the Seagulls suggests that he may have to look elsewhere.

Brighton love playing against West Ham
West Ham have their own omens to overcome against Brighton, and very rarely has Bowen been able to contribute.
In the 10 games he has faced off against them, Bowen has won on just one occasion, with two of his four goal contributions against the Seagulls coming in that one game.
There have only been two encounters where Bowen has been able to register a goal or an assist, having gone six games in a row against them without achieving either in the early stages of his West Ham career.
Given the form they have had recently, if West Ham fail to beat Brighton, there is every chance that Nuno would move one step closer to the sack.

Bowen has five goal contributions for the Hammers so far this season, and breaking the trend against Brighton this weekend is going to be crucial to their chances of taking all three points.
Brighton set to be without player Jarrod Bowen once called ‘incredible’
The Seagulls are certainly no pushovers, and that is demonstrated by the fact that they sit seventh in the Premier League table, 10 points above West Ham.
However, the man who has usually been key to their success over the years is Karou Mitoma, who has suffered a setback ahead of Sunday’s clash.
Mitoma has been out of action since the end of September, and based on Bowen’s words back in 2023, it’s a boost for the Hammers that he will miss the game.
Bowen said: “I just think he is so direct. Every time he gets the ball, he wants to take someone on. He wants to create something for his teammates.
“I think, since he has come into the Premier League, he has been incredible. A real talent and in many years to come he is going to go on being better.”
