West Ham fans will be fuming with Premier League after latest announcement
West Ham United’s upcoming clash with Manchester City is at risk of being rescheduled following the Premier League’s latest announcement.
The Hammers currently sit in the relegation zone, but are now just two points adrift of safety after their 0-0 draw with Bournemouth last Saturday.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side take on Liverpool at Anfield next, before a midweek trip to Fulham on 4 March.
West Ham then host Brentford in the FA Cup, and are scheduled to welcome Manchester City to London Stadium five days later, on 14 March.
However, the game may have to be moved due to City’s participation in the Champions League.

West Ham vs Man City may be rescheduled
West Ham’s game against Man City was originally pencilled in for a 3 pm kick-off on 14 March, but it was brought forward to 12:30 pm for broadcast reasons.
However, Pep Guardiola’s side will have an away Champions League tie the week before, which could affect their trip to London Stadium.
If UEFA schedules City’s last 16 first leg for Wednesday, 11 March, then their clash with West Ham cannot take place the following Saturday, as there will not be enough time between the two games.
The Champions League draw takes place this coming Friday, just two weeks before City are set to make the trip to East London.
If Guardiola’s side are scheduled to play their last 16 tie on Tuesday, 10 March, then the West Ham game will not be affected, but that is far from guaranteed.
Premier League failing to consider fans
The Premier League have known that this situation could occur for some time now, but have not taken the necessary precautions.
Instead, they moved West Ham’s game with Man City to an earlier time slot, which has put the whole fixture at risk.
The Hammers will be affected slightly less due to it being a home fixture, but supporters still have to organise their lives and potentially book travel or accommodation if coming from further afield.
By the time the fixture is finalised, there will be just two weeks until the day of the game, which is an unacceptable amount of warning for fans.
