West Ham fans can be positive about Julen Lopetegui after taking a point away from Brentford for the first time in the Premier League.
The Hammers came back from behind at the GTECH Community Stadium to take a point in the 1-1 draw on Saturday 28 September.
Tomas Soucek scored to cancel out Bryan Mbeumo’s strike on 38 seconds with a general lack of clear-cut chances as the game went on.
Despite not being the most exciting performance, Irons fans can be pleased that the Spanish head coach has secured a point away from the Bees.

Under David Moyes, the Hammers knew nothing but defeat away to Brentford with no league win in West London since March 1953.

With that being said, despite all the pressure he has been under, Lopetegui has managed to grab a point despite having a difficult start to the campaign.
It wasn’t a performance to remember but it felt like if any team was going to win, it was going to be the away side, despite a penalty shout from the hosts.
Supporters haven’t come away from the clash on Saturday (28 September) smiling, with some already calling for the ex-Real Madrid boss to lose his job.
If they take a step back, the result was actually positive and could provide the base to build from in the coming weeks and months.
