West Ham duo spotted in hilarious behind scenes England training video

A hilarious behind the scenes video from England’s training session at St George’s Park has been released involving West Ham duo Jarrod Bowen and Declan Rice.

With the Hammers winger in undeniably brilliant form this season, Gareth Southgate decided to hand him his debut in the Three Lions squad.

He by far outperformed all of the English attackers this season with 31 goal involvements across all competitions for the east London outfit.

The former Hull City ace would have undoubtedly been selected for the last squad but an injury forced him out of contention – at last, Bowen has been given his chance ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Having played 29 times now for his nation, Rice clearly relaxed as you can see from his laughing and joking whilst being destroyed in the rondo.

Like most professionals on their debuts in the squad, Bowen would have been nervous but he is more than holding his own at the highest level which is great to see.

Internationals.

Things would have been made easier for the forward with his Irons teammate Rice also in the squad.

The 23-year-old has established himself as a key figure in the squad after his impressive 2021 European Championship campaign as England just missed out to Italy on penalties.

Former West Ham midfielder Declan Rice is now a senior player for England

West Ham have a series of players now who all represent their home nations but there is something special about playing for England.

It seems huge when a Hammer gets the opportunity to represent not only the nation but also the Irons on an international stage.

Showing everyone that he could do it on the main stage saw Rice receive a lot of attention this season – both by other clubs and in the media.

It is always nice when players get the credit they deserve but that has now led to the midfielder wanting to take the next step as he keeps his options open having rejected his fourth claret & blue contract.

Hopefully, Bowen can fly under the radar a little while longer because it would be soul-destroying if the two best players in the team left with England call ups being the catalyst for both.
