West Ham could seriously benefit amid Axel Disasi and Chelsea transfer update
West Ham have been linked with a move for Axel Disasi from Chelsea.
Disasi emerged as a target for West Ham over the summer, but a move to the London Stadium never went through for the Frenchman.
The Hammers opted to explore other options, with Igor Julio signing for West Ham on loan from Brighton on deadline day.
Things haven’t worked out for Julio at West Ham, and it appears that a new defensive signing is on the cards for Nuno Espirito Santo.
The Irons could go much further wrong than giving Disasi an opportunity in claret and blue once the January window opens.

Axel Disasi still of interest to West Ham
Disasi was a deadline day target for West Ham as an exit from Stamford Bridge looked to be on the cards for the 27-year-old.
The defender never secured a move away from West London and has been left stuck in Enzo Maresca’s bomb squad for the first half of the campaign.
He’s featured for the Chelsea under-21 side this season, but for someone who played in a World Cup final just three years ago, this isn’t good enough.
This is where the Hammers could step in and realise their interest in the ex-Monaco man moving into the second half of the season.

Reports emerged on Thursday suggesting that West Ham are still monitoring Disasi, with the Blues open to a loan move or permanent exit in January.
Nuno could land himself a bargain transfer for a player who could actually improve his side, despite the public perception of the defender.
Disasi could actually transform West Ham
For someone who has recently been a regular at international and Champions League level, the defender has a strangely poor reputation.
Contrary to public perception, Disasi was actually a useful asset for Aston Villa as he featured well as a centre-back and right-back under Unai Emery.
He did struggle against PSG at the Parc Des Princes, but he wouldn’t be concerned about that threat with West Ham.
His versatility would be useful to Nuno and would allow him to use a back three or a back four, depending on the opposition.
Disasi may not be the most exciting or flash signing, but for a cheap fee or loan deal, it feels like a no-brainer for the Hammers to complete a January deal.
