View: West Ham risk losing Tomas Soucek with another new contract delay
Negotiations for a new West Ham contract for midfielder Tomas Soucek have been postponed until the end of summer, according to reports by 90min.
The Irons were set to launch new negotiations to keep the Czech Republic international at the London Stadium until 2026 with an agreement hoped to be made by the end of the season, as per Claret & Hugh.
However, the Hammers are taking a major risk by allowing Soucek to now enter the summer with just two years left on his current contract.

David Sullivan and co need to stop messing around and get the deal done with the last round of talks breaking down unwilling to match his £80k per week wage demand.
Joke
How can the club allow one of their best players over the last couple of seasons to go into the summer with only two years left on his contract? It is a farce.
Their main priority should be tying down all of the key performers currently in the squad ahead of what should be a busy summer in the transfer market.

He isn’t asking for much considering how well he has played since joining West Ham in 2020. The owners need to stop being so tight before they lose a hugely important player to David Moyes.
There will be a host of teams around the world licking their lips at these reports, hoping they can get the 27-year-old on the cheap and if the Irons leave the door wide open for much longer, they just might.
With a host of the squad’s key players linked with moves in the summer, the Hammers have to tie them down to new contracts as soon as possible rather than pushing talks back even further.
