View: Latest Jesse Lingard reports give West Ham major signing boost

West Ham may have been handed a big boost in their pursuit of Jesse Lingard as the Manchester United man puts his home in Chesire up for sale, as per Claret & Hugh.

The Hammers have been continuously linked with the England international following his brilliant loan spell at the London Stadium but failed to bring him to the club permanently after Manchester United blocked a move in January, as per football.london.

With the 29-year-old’s Old Trafford contract at the end of the season, he is free to move wherever he likes and the latest reports regarding his living situation is a big indicator he will move clubs in the summer.

Admittedly, he is selling his house due to a recent burglary but his decision not to look for a new property will give the Hammers some hope with Lingard seemingly having a 50/50 choice between the Irons and Newcastle as things stand.

According to Claret & Hugh insiders, are confident they can get the move over the line, they said: “It’s not just about money for Jesse, he’s in a rush to join a competitive team and Newcastle are at a different stage than West Ham right now, coupled with how much he enjoyed his previous stay at the London Stadium.”

Sign him up

The Hammers are desperate for players with the experience and quality of Lingard’s as they look to kick it up a notch next season.

Year upon year David Moyes has built on this squad and exceeded all expectations in his second spell at the club.

They are now fighting for the top four, Champions League football and the Europa League trophy at the end of a brilliant season.

The only thing that has let the Irons down is not having more than one capable player in each position.

If a key player has been forced into a spell on the sidelines, West Ham have really struggled and despite it still being a hugely successful one, it has had detrimental impacts on their season.

Lingard is tried and tested in east London; He loved his time at the club making great friends within the squad and playing as well as he has done in years during his half a season at the London Stadium.

He is exactly the type of player the Hammers should go for and him being free is a big bonus.
