Tomas Soucek could be finished at West Ham after what he did vs Brentford

West Ham misery only continued on Monday night, as Nuno Espirito Santo still seeks his first win as Hammers boss.

From no attacking threat to no defence solidarity, West Ham were a mess against Brentford and deserved nothing from the game.

Nuno has come under fire before and after the game, in complaints about his starting eleven choices, as well as West Ham’s team performance.

Many players had poor showings against the Bees, but Tomas Soucek put in one of the worst performances he’s ever had in a West Ham shirt.

Tomas Soucek was the worst West Ham player vs Brentford

It was seen as a boost when Nuno revealed that Soucek was available for the Brentford game, as the midfielder’s game on Monday was his first since Graham Potter’s sacking.

Soucek took a big hit to the top of his eyebrow after colliding with Dango Ouatarra early in the game and required medical assistance after suffering a nasty gash.

However, Brentford controlled the game, and Soucek looked as though he had no clue what to do when the ball was at his feet.

Soucek only managed to complete 18 out of an attempted 31 passes, totalling an unbelievably bad 58 per cent passing accuracy.

Jamie Carragher claimed West Ham looked short of pace and athleticism in the game, which only feels like a reflection on Soucek’s performance against the Bees.

The towering midfielder has been a good servant for the Hammers and has made some fantastic memories at E20, but there is another man who needs to be given a real opportunity.

Soucek could be sold by West Ham to raise funds in January

Nuno played Soungoutou Magassa against Everton and Arsenal, in his first two games in charge.

The young French midfielder did well considering it was his first minutes in English football, and he brought much-needed athleticism and physicality to West Ham’s midfield, as he could start against Leeds.

After Soucek’s display against Brentford, there is no arguing past the fact that his time at West Ham may now be up.

West Ham are ready for sales in January, and Soucek could be first out the door, as David Sullivan needs to do what he can to stop relegation becoming a reality.
