Tim Steidten set to take biggest West Ham transfer gamble as Paul Pogba news emerges
Tim Steidten could be readying West Ham United to welcome Paul Pogba to their ranks amid the latest transfer rumours to come out of the London Stadium.
The Frenchman had his contract terminated by Juventus last week after off-the-field issues, which has resulted in a ban from football.
He may be 31-years-old but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t be a valuable asset to a West Ham side that is in some dire need of creativity.
These links initially surfaced from a report by Tutto Juve (18 November), who shared that the Hammers believe the former Manchester United man could add some experience to their ranks.
West Ham United should try and sign Paul Pogba
While the recent news around the Frenchman has been less than ideal, it’s undeniable that there’s not still a world-class player within the playmaker.
He may not have had his feet on the grass for some time now, but after the transfer of Carlos Soler in the summer has seemingly failed, the Hammers have been left somewhat light in terms of creative players in the centre of the park.
Of course, there is the question of whether he’d be able to get to full fitness, which could become an issue, but if he can overcome this then it’s hard to see why the Hammers wouldn’t want to add him to their ranks.

Julen Lopetegui’s team have let their fans down on more than one occasion this term, but the addition of Pogba could help turn the thoughts of some fans around and show that the club are heading in the right direction.
The January transfer window is now just around the corner and unless a few new faces are brought in by West Ham, their hopes of European qualification will be getting slimmer each game.
It is undoubtedly Steidten’s biggest transfer risk yet, even if there is no transfer fee involved, and one he may live or die by.
