Three players Nuno Espirito Santo could sign at West Ham include ‘quickest man in football’
Nuno Espirito Santo’s appointment came as a shock to West Ham fans on Saturday.
Graham Potter was dismissed by West Ham just hours before the Portuguese manager was announced and took first-team training at Rush Green.
The 51-year-old is expected to be in the dugout against Everton on Monday and faces a quick turnaround to get the squad playing his style of football.
Nuno faces an uphill battle in his first West Ham game, with his two predecessors, Potter and Julen Lopetegui, losing in their first outings.
Either way, West Ham Zone has looked at three players that Nuno could look to sign to help his cause.

Nuno Espirito Santo could reunite with Raul Jimenez
West Ham fans have already been looking ahead to the January transfer window after the Hammers failed to address all their issues in the squad.
In 2015, the Irons came very close to signing Raul Jimenez from Atletico Madrid before he signed for Portuguese side Benfica.
Slaven Bilic was keen to bring the forward to East London, but reportedly only opened the door to a loan move.
Interest was reignited in 2019, but Wolves and Nuno ultimately won the race for the Mexico international.
With West Ham’s problems up front, they could look to make a statement and bring Jimenez to the London Stadium in January.

Ibrahim Sangare
West Ham tried to sign Ibrahim Sangare from Nottingham Forest in the summer, but their loan bid failed.
Forest were holding out for £30million for the midfielder, with Nuno’s former side keen to keep hold of the 27-year-old.
- West Ham initially wanted to sign Sangare when he went to Forest
- The midfielder was linked with Chelsea and Liverpool at the time
- Alan Shearer was left blown away by the 27-year-old in 2024
Sangare has continued to struggle for game time in the East Midlands, and in a poor West Ham midfield, he could add some much-needed competition.
In January, the Ivory Coast international could push for a move away, having had limited gametime at the City Ground, and Ange Postecoglou now being in charge.

Adama Traore
Nuno was keen on a reunion with Adama Traore before his exit from Nottingham Forest.
The Fulham winger has played under Nuno previously at Wolves, and the decision for Forest not to sign him impacted the relationship between the Portuguese manager and owner Evangelos Marinakis.
West Ham were linked with Traore after he joined Wolves, and the Hammers could return for him in January.
The Hammers have been without much pace in the forward lines and could use some dynamism.
Traore was once dubbed the “quickest man in football” by Pep Guardiola, who spoke about how even Kyle Walker couldn’t catch him.
January could be a very exciting month in East London.
