The three games that could determine West Ham’s Premier League fate amid relegation fears

West Ham have a true battle on their hands if they are to avoid relegation from the Premier League.

A shocking start to the season under Graham Potter has had a serious impact on the Hammers and will make for an intense end to the campaign.

Nuno Espirito Santo has helped to turn things around in recent weeks, with Crysencio Summerville’s form being a key point of improvement at the London Stadium.

There are now 11 Premier League games remaining for the East London outfit, with some big fixtures remaining.

West Ham Zone has now assessed the three fixtures that are set to have the biggest impact on potential survival.

April will be hugely important for Nuno Espirito Santo

Every game across the rest of the season has a meaning in claret and blue, but April looks the most likely to garner much-needed points in E20.

February will end with an away trip to face Liverpool, while March brings clashes with Fulham, Manchester City and Aston Villa.

There is a chance of a result against the Cottagers, but the other three will represent uphill battles for the Irons.

That is why April will be so important as it kicks off with a home clash with Wolves, who are likely to be stuck to the bottom of the table then.

A match-up against the Old Gold marks the first fixture on our list, and it is ironically followed by our second, which comes away to Crystal Palace.

The Eagles are struggling under Oliver Glasner and will likely have full attention on the Conference League by then, so it could represent a chance for West Ham to pick up points.

A clash with Everton follows, which may be another chance to take victory, but the Wolves and Palace games should be seen as something to aim for.

West Ham must take relegation battle to final day

The East Londoners will face Brentford, Arsenal and Newcastle United to begin May, in three hugely difficult fixtures.

That trio of outings will carry Nuno’s side to the final day of the season, where they play host to fellow strugglers Leeds United.

The London Stadium club have to carry the battle to 24 May and hope they can secure victory to save their skins on the final day.

That will carry the most importance of any game this season, but will only be relevant if they can secure wins against the likes of Crystal Palace and Wolves.
