Sullivan puts Potter out of his misery – Three West Ham predictions for the 2025/26 season

West Ham’s 2025/26 campaign is quickly approaching with the Premier League now just over two weeks away.

Graham Potter will be hoping to see vast improvements from last season after a difficult start at the London Stadium.

While the transfer window has not been kind to the Hammers so far, there have been new faces come through the door who will be looking to make an impact.

Now, West Ham Zone has made three predictions about the upcoming 2025/26 campaign.

West Ham retain Premier League status – just

Going into the new campaign, West Ham have been tipped to be in a relegation battle.

While the Hammers did stay up comfortably last season, the football and the results were poor.

Now, the three promoted teams are expected to perform far better this season, with Leeds and Sunderland making numerous eye-catching signings.

In comparison, West Ham have done little business, with multiple areas needing vast improvements.

However, the Hammers should still have enough to avoid the drop, even if it ends up going to the final day.

Jarrod Bowen to carry West Ham

It is no secret that Bowen is easily West Ham’s best player.

The England international added both goals and assists to a poor team, with no one else getting close to these numbers.

The 28-year-old was one of the primary reasons West Ham lifted the Europa Conference League earlier this decade and have since held onto their Premier League status.

This season, the attacker’s contribution is unlikely to change, with Bowen now heading into his prime.

On top of this, with claims that West Ham are not prioritising a new striker this summer, it looks as if the 28-year-old will have to carry the Hammers once again.

Graham Potter to be sacked

Potter has had an awful start to his reign at West Ham, with few improvements being shown on the pitch last season.

The Englishman was brought in to guide the Hammers up the Premier League table, yet the London club had to settle for a 14th-place finish.

Potter has struggled at the Hammers

With Potter yet to be fully backed in the transfer market, it is hard to see how he is going to turn things around this season.

If results do not pick up, the London Stadium faithful will grow impatient, especially if they are amidst another relegation battle.

Therefore, Potter’s sacking at West Ham feels inevitable at some point in the 2025/26 campaign.
