Potter one game away from unwanted West Ham record that could get him sacked
West Ham have been dismal since Graham Potter was appointed as manager at the start of the year.
West Ham’s winless run continued at the weekend with a 1-1 draw against Tottenham at the London Stadium, piling more pressure on Potter.
The West Ham boss has done nothing to subdue the concerns over his credentials to lead this side forward, though, as it stands, Potter is believed to still have the backing of the board.
With that said, if the Irons fail to win against Man United, that scenario could change, and West Ham could pull the trigger on the former Brighton and Chelsea man.

Potter could be sacked if West Ham fail to beat Man United
There has been nothing to shout home about as a West Ham supporter this season, and based on recent performances, that looks unlikely to change anytime soon.
Potter is under serious pressure to keep his job and find a way to turn things around, but a failure to do that against the Red Devils would see the Hammers extend their winless run to seven.

Even Julen Lopetegui didn’t manage to go that long without a win, and it has been eight years since West Ham went on such a winless run, and it’s hard to see Potter wanting to be the man to break that record.
However, unless the Englishman can work miracles over the next few days, that possibility is real, and it could be enough to get him sacked at the London Stadium.

West Ham need to sack Potter before the summer
While it is important to consider the fact that the squad Potter is working with isn’t his, it’s also just as important to note just how bad the Irons have been since he took over.
Attacking quality has been non-existent, and while the players deserve criticism for their role in the regression, Potter’s job is to get the best out of them, and he has done quite the opposite.
It’s very hard to see fortunes changing under his stewardship, with all of the signs pointing towards a managerial change in the summer.
