Nuno Espirito Santo now has perfect chance to work with West Ham star he wanted at Nottingham Forest
Nuno Espirito Santo will have plenty of decisions to make after being hired by West Ham.
Nuno emerged as West Ham’s key managerial target on Saturday, just hours after Graham Potter was let go at the London Stadium.
It came as a shock to the West Ham players that Potter was sacked, especially with just two days until the away clash against Everton in the Premier League.
Now it appears that Nuno will be in the dugout for West Ham after being named as the new head coach in East London.
It could prove to be the perfect appointment for one summer signing in claret and blue as Nuno prepares to get his hands on a former transfer target.

Nuno Espirito Santo wanted Soungoutou Magassa at Nottingham Forest
There are so many quality players in the Irons’ squad that it is unclear why they are in such a mess after five league games.
A turnaround could be on the cards, especially if the new Portuguese head coach gets a positive tune out of failing players in E20.
This could be the case for Magassa, who signed for West Ham ahead of Forest in the summer, joining Potter ahead of Nuno in the process.
The Frenchman is now destined to work with the latter, something which could prove to be the perfect breeding ground for positivity.
Magassa was reluctantly utilised under the previous regime and could now come to life under Nuno if given a fair opportunity.

Soungoutou Magassa could now thrive for West Ham
The former Monaco man has only managed 41 minutes of Premier League action since his move from Ligue 1, but that could be set to change.
Under Nuno, the 21-year-old could become the go-to man at the base of midfield to help Mateus Fernandes and Lucas Paqueta thrive further forward.
He can do so after a positive campaign in France last season, sparking interest from the Irons and Nottingham Forest.
Stat (Ligue 1 24/25) | Soungoutou Magassa |
Apperances | 21 |
Tackles won | 47 |
Duels won | 95 |
Interceptions | 21 |
Recoveries | 90 |
If he can replicate that output in claret and blue in the coming weeks, there’s no reason why he can’t delight Nuno in his spell as Hammers boss.
