David Moyes needs to drag off Michail Antonio v Liverpool, West Ham United can’t sit still
West Ham went into half-time of their Premier League clash with Liverpool 1-0 up thanks to a Jarrod Bowen goal.
The fan favourite headed in just before the interval after a rather uneventful opening 42 minutes up until that point.
Liverpool had a penalty shout rejected due to an offside decision in the build-up, while Luis Diaz hit the post, but otherwise there was little to talk about before Bowen found the net.
The Irons stood much stronger defensively than six days ago when four goals down at half-time against Crystal Palace.
West Ham on course for rare win v Liverpool
Picking up victory over Liverpool would go a long way to lifting the doom surrounding the club right now, and Bowen thankfully has us on course for that.
However, Moyes cannot afford to sit still with 45 minutes still to play. One goal will surely not be enough to pick up the victory, but the Irons are at least in a strong position.
Moyes may well be tempted to drag off Michail Antonio at the break, given the Jamaica international offered next to nothing in the first half.

Antonio just could not get into the game – nor could Mohammed Kudus, in fairness – with the game crying out for a striker in the mould of Danny Ings.
Making a substitution with United ahead would come as a surprise, but Liverpool are comeback kings and West Ham must be proactive with their changes.
And on the basis of what we have seen so far, Antonio would be a prime candidate to make way as West Ham look to push on and pick up a valuable win.
In other West Ham news, Rob Edwards has been touted as a candidate to replace Moyes at London Stadium.
