Maxwel Cornet nowhere to be seen again at West Ham United, January exit surely nailed on as David Moyes has lost faith
West Ham United forward Maxwel Cornet did not get a look in again as the Hammers thumped Arsenal on Wednesday which surely now means a January exit is inevitable.
The Hammers produced an excellent performance to stun Arsenal 3-1 and book a trip to Liverpool in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup after goals from Mohammed Kudus, Jarrod Bowen and a Ben White own goal.
However, it was yet another game which saw £17.5m man Cornet being forced to watch on from the sidelines and not even given a run-out from David Moyes after the game had been won.

And there could well have been a reason for the lack of minutes at the London Stadium after news last month.
West Ham news source Claret & Hugh shared via their website on 20 October that the Ivorian had been surplus to requirements at the club, having lost the faith of Moyes.
It is believed that he is no longer a main option for the Hammers boss after recent injury woes. And it could well have been a different story for him during the summer transfer window when he almost quit.
The 27-year-old appeared to be on his way out of East London in the summer transfer window but stayed put as a move to Everton fell through due to concerns over his injury record.
The 27-year-old arrived in East London to much fanfare and optimism, on the back of an impressive first season in the Premier League with the Clarets, where he registered nine goals and registered two assists in 28 appearances despite relegation.
But following a few outings off the bench for the Irons, he was struck down with an injury that kept him out all the way up until March to make it a difficult start for him at the London Stadium.

He failed to register a single top-flight goal or assist in his 14 games last season, but he laid on five assists in Europe for the Hammers in some sort of consolation on a difficult debut campaign.
He was given a rare start against Lincoln City in the EFL Cup back at the back end of September but desperately failed to take the opportunity against League One opposition.
As per Sofascore, Cornet lost possession of the ball on eight separate occasions during the game, failed to register a single key pass a single shot, completed just one of his crosses at a rate of 33% and barely touched the ball with just 29 touches, completing 85% of his passes.

He was deservedly hooked off after 66 minutes and it’s uncertain to determine when he could make another West Ham United start again under Moyes.
After last night’s latest snub especially at a stage where the Irons were comfortable against the Gunners, that could well be the final nail in the coffin for Cornet and his West Ham United career. He’s got to call it quits in January.
