‘Luis Guilherme could thrive’ as exit update emerges after West Ham loss v Wolves

West Ham summer signing Luis Guilherme could be set for a boost in the coming weeks at the London Stadium.

The young Brazilian has seriously struggled since coming in from Palmerias for £25million in the summer, making just seven Premier League appearances until this week.

The 19-year-old did secure his first start of the campaign against Wolves on 1 April but failed to make an impression before being hooked by Graham Potter.

With that being said, the winger could be set for a boost at the London Stadium ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

Guilherme could benefit from Kudus sale

It is fair to say that the signing of the young forward was a risk for Tim Steidten which hasn’t paid off in any way.

This was part of the reason behind the German being sacked, but he could prove to be right in the coming months in East London.

The Brazilian is in need of regular minutes to help acclimatise himself to English football after only ever playing in South America until this year.

There is every chance that the teenager could be afforded game time next season if Mohammed Kudus is to depart E20.

It has been reported that the Ghana international has an £85m release clause in his contract, which has been set at a higher rate for clubs in Saudi Arabia [Florian Plettenberg, 2 April].

Enquiries have been made at the London Stadium for the versatile forward although no talks are concrete.

If an interested party is to make their physicalize their interest and bring the 24-year-old in, it could prove to be the perfect storm for Guilherme to build on.

Kudus destined to leave West Ham

It is fair to say that the ex-Ajax man has seen his standards drop heavily in his second season in the Premier League.

This could see the likes of Arsenal pull back on their interest, potentially leaving the doors open for Saudi Pro League side’s to step in.

If the Ghanaian is to depart East London, it will be interesting to see if Potter affords Guilherme a regular starting role.

If the English head coach is to afford him that ahead of Crysencio Summerville, there is every chance that he can step up and become key for the Irons.
