Kudus followed by Potter regular – three players West Ham simply must sell
West Ham United are expected to be busy as this summer’s transfer window progresses, with Mohammed Kudus continuing to be linked with an exit.
The first-team squad is in need of a revamp after a disappointing campaign in last season’s Premier League.
Graham Potter has been linked with lots of exciting stars in the transfer market already, but there is a handful of players he’d be better off without heading into the new season.
Below, West Ham Zone suggests three players that the Irons would be better off selling.

West Ham must sell Kudus to fund their squad overhaul
It’s no secret that Kudus is likely to leave West Ham this summer.
The Ghanaian winger has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham. It has been in the newspaper every day for the last couple of weeks.
Even if Kudus was happy in East London, he’s likely had his head turned by the opportunity to play in the Champions League with Spurs.
Kudus was one of the brighter sparks in West Ham’s sorry season, but now is the time to sell him. If he’s kept against his will, he won’t be the same player. It’s better to get a huge transfer fee for him now to fund the purchase of three or four quality new players.

Aguerd must accept he’s surplus to requirements
Nayef Aguerd was shipped out on loan to Real Sociedad last season, but he hardly proved his worth during his time away.
In fact, he was left out of Sociedad’s squad entirely for nine out of the last ten league games.
Potter has been targeting centre-halves in this transfer window, so Morocco international Aguerd must accept that his time at the London Stadium is up.
Marseille are supposedly interested in signing the Moroccan international, and the Hammers would be well advised to accept any reasonable bid for him.
Emerson has to be moved on this summer
Emerson Palmieri was solid enough on the left side for West Ham last season, featuring regularly under Potter.
However, several reports have suggested that he’s unhappy in East London and wants a transfer.

Signed | August 2022 |
Appearances | 113 |
Goals | 5 |
It’s no use keeping hold of players who don’t want to be there. Not in the modern game. They can be cancerous to squad morale.
So, it’s better to let Emerson go while there’s still a chance of recouping the £17.6million paid for him.
West Ham have been bidding for new left-sided players, so it would be no surprise to see Emerson on his way out the door.
