Julen Lopetegui will be fuming after announcement on West Ham United ace Jarrod Bowen
West Ham star Jarrod Bowen was a late addition to the England squad for the November international break and it would be understandable it Julen Lopetegui will be fuming at the announcement.
Bowen was originally not included in the squad, although with several players dropping out, Lee Carsley opted to select the 27-year-old and called him up.
The late decision will take a key player away from the Hammers’ training camp in what will likely be a crucial fortnight as Lopetegui attempts to save his job.
Jarrow Bowen call-up a blow for West Ham
It has been a horrid start to life under Lopetegui for the Irons, winning just three of their opening 11 games causing them to sit 14th.
For context, the club qualified for Europe just two seasons ago and they look far, far away from being able to replicate that success under the Spaniard.
A goalless draw against Everton last time out prevented West Ham from gaining ground on those around them and the international break would have provided an excellent opportunity to regroup and solve some of the woes that they have faced.

However, with the late call-up for Bowen, them plans will be somewhat scuppered and Lopetegui will have to work without one of, if not his most important forward.
The call-up showcases the talent that Bowen has, like many others in their squad, which begs the question as to why the Hammers have struggled so much so far this campaign.
In other West Ham news, Julen Lopetegui wants the Irons to sign Tariq Lamptey as the defender looks to leave Brighton.
