Julen Lopetegui could transform West Ham as Tariq Lamptey signing eyed
Julen Lopetegui could transform West Ham if David Sulivan allows him to bring in Tariq Lamptey from Brighton in January.
The Hammers haven’t had the best start to the season with the Spaniard coming under pressure, especially after defeats against Tottenham and Nottingham Forest.
Frustrations haven’t exactly cooled after a goalless home draw against Everton on Saturday (9 November) which almost summed up the head coaches’ time at the London Stadium.
With that being said, if Lopetegui is afforded time in East London, the signing of Lamptey could help him turn the tide and transform his Irons side.

The ex-Real Madrid boss has utilised both four and five-at-the-back formations so far this season but arguably doesn’t have the personnel.
With that being said, the signing of the Ghana international from the Seagulls could prove to be a coup if Lopetegui can get the best out of him.
The 24-year-old is said to be unhappy with his current situation on the South Coast under Fabian Hurzeler which could allow the Hammers to step in with Lopetegui eyeing up a move [CaughtOffside].
This could see the Irons to become more defensively solid after conceding 19 goals in 11 Premier League games this season.

The ex-Chelsea starlet would also provide some attacking support with his desire to push forward with his electric pace which made him a star at the AMEX in years gone by.
Bringing Lamptey in the January window could prove to be a stroke of genius which helps to transform Lopetegui’s side after a frustrating start to the campaign.
