Jarrod Bowen must do better as footage shows loneliest man at West Ham United vs Fulham

West Ham’s lack of team spirit and togetherness is going to get them relegated from the Premier League.

Fulham rocked up to the London Stadium and beat West Ham 1-0 on Saturday, after an all too easy late header by Raul Jimenez.

West Ham’s defence was at sixes and sevens for Fulham’s winner, and Ollie Scarles is going to be the man who receives the criticism for the loss after he missed the ball in an attempted clearance.

However, doesn’t that perfectly sum up where the Hammers are right now, shifting blame onto a 20-year-old?

Nuno Espirito Santo is leading West Ham to relegation with each passing game, and footage from full-time proves exactly why January won’t fix an internal issue.

Ollie Scarles was in tears at full-time, teammates nowhere to be seen

Nuno has been forced to play Scarles due to African Cup of Nations absences, and the youngster has been trying his best since coming into the side.

The Hammers boss has promoted youth since arriving at E20, but it’s perhaps the senior figures who are the ones letting West Ham down.

After full-time, Scarles was spotted in tears on his own in the London Stadium, apologising to supporters in truly heartbreaking scenes.

Footage of the moment has now been captured and posted on social media by an X user.

The only teammate to console him was Kyle Walker-Peters, a summer signing, with everyone else ignoring the youngster’s emotions.

Where was Jarrod Bowen?

Serious questions need to be asked about the leadership of Jarrod Bowen.

The 29-year-old has been West Ham’s captain over the past two seasons, where he has led his side to heavy defeats at the London Stadium.

Let’s not forget, Bowen is a man who has been heavily linked away from West Ham, as Liverpool could come sniffing around for his signature in January.

So much is said of the England international’s ‘love’ for the Hammers, and maybe he shows it differently, but surely if Bowen had any sense, he would have consoled Scarles.

It’s a terrible look for the skipper, and even more so for West Ham as a whole, as the Irons now seem in total disarray, with relegation now looking like a grim reality.
