How much Mads Hermansen is likely to earn at West Ham as transfer announced
West Ham have announced the signing of Mads Hermansen from Leicester City.
The Leicester City shot-stopper looks set to bolster the Hammers’ options between the sticks, with Graham Potter eyeing some changes for their Premier League opener against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light (16 August).
Potter appears unhappy with Alphonse Areola‘s form as the Irons’ number one and had been hoping to get Hermansen and John Victor in.
Following the collapse of the move for Victor, West Ham have secured the signing of Hermansen, and the Dane could be set for a healthy pay rise.

Hermansen could earn £60,000 a week at West Ham
The Hammers have so far been careful in who they bring to the club, with the likes of new signing Callum Wilson being paid a pay-as-you-go style contract.
Following the sale of Mohammed Kudus to Tottenham for £55million, it had been expected that Potter’s side would start spending.
However, they have since only recruited El Hadji Malick Diouf for £17million and Kyle Walker-Peters on a free transfer, and now Hermansen for £20million.
Player | Weekly wage |
Lucas Paqueta | £150,000 |
Jarred Bowen | £150,000 |
Alphonse Areola | £120,000 |
James Ward-Prowse | £115,000 |
Max Kilman | £100,000 |
According to Capology, Hermansen is currently on £10,000 a week at Leicester.
His wage will be boosted massively at West Ham to a possible £60,000 a week.
The Irons should have wages left over following the announcement of Michail Antonio’s exit, with the forward previously on £85,000 a week at the London Stadium.
With the Hammers expected to offload Areola in the coming weeks, Potter’s side could have even more money to spend, with the Frenchman on £120,000 a week.

West Ham can free up more wages by selling James Ward-Prowse
James Ward-Prowse hasn’t lived up to expectations at West Ham following his move from Southampton.
With the midfielder on £115,000 a week, the Irons could look to sell him to finance more signings.
Potter has been keen to sign a new midfielder this summer, with Douglas Luiz one of those linked, and should Ward-Prowse leave, Potter could get his wish.
