Fullkrug ‘can pack his bags’ at West Ham already after World Cup developments
Niclas Fullkrug could be in line to leave West Ham already with the 2026 World Cup in mind.
The Germany international has endured a torrid spell at the London Stadium this campaign, scoring just two goals in nine Premier League appearances.
This has been largely down to injury as he most recently suffered a blow against Aston Villa in the FA Cup, pulling up while chasing the ball down.
After only joining from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, there is every chance that a move away could already be in the pipeline.
West Ham could sign Tammy Abraham to boost his 2026 World Cup ambition
With the 32-year-old set to be out for the foreseeable, it was important that the Hammers brought in a striker during the winter window.
They did exactly that as Evan Ferguson came in from Brighton on loan until the end of the season.
As positive as that is, Graham Potter will be left without the Republic of Ireland international at the end of his campaign when his deal comes to an end.
As a result, it would make sense for the Irons to sign a new number nine in the summer and Tammy Abraham could prove to be a useful option.
The 27-year-old has the ambition to impress England manager Thomas Tuchel to earn a place in the 2026 World Cup squad and he believes a return to the Premier League could help him realise that dream.
The Englishman is said to be on the radar of the East London club alongside the likes of Newcastle, Nottingham Forest, Fulham, Everton and Leeds [TBR Football].

Niclas Fullkrug can leave West Ham if Tammy Abraham signs
It is safe to say that the former Chelsea star would demand regular minutes if he were to swap San Siro for the London Stadium.
This would leave Fullkrug on the fringes of the Hammers side which may not suit him considering he played in a Champions League final just nine months ago.
As a result, it is likely that there would be many suitors for the German and the Irons could take advantage to recoup as much money as they can.
Considering they outlaid £27.5million on the ex-Werder Bremen star, this won’t be easy so any fee close to that would be positive.
This would leave room for Potter to introduce Abraham into the side while having the experience of Michail Antonio as a rotation option.
