Fan footage emerges to prove that David Moyes has lost West Ham United fans, he must leave the club
West Ham fans have lost trust in David Moyes officially, after footage emerged of a new chant that goes against the current manager.
The Hammers sit in eighth place in the Premier League table and are in the knockout stages of the Europa League after a strong first half of the season, but fans are not happy.
The club were demolished 6-0 by Arsenal at home last weekend which left fans leaving the ground before half-time, before a defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon made things even worse.
However it seems that the manager being able to turn things around and get fans back on side is highly unlikely at this point.
Prior to the game at the City Ground, a video was posted online to Twitter by user Brad Palmer of a new chant for the boss en route to the stadium.
The tune mocked Moyes’ choice to use Ben Johnson as a left-winger in recent games and labelled him “clueless” before declaring the club would be sliding down the league.
It’s often said that once a manager loses the dressing room it’s hard for them to turn things around, but Moyes seemingly has a whole new problem at the London Stadium to deal with.
If the fans have turned on you, then there really is no way back. Winning a European trophy last season wasn’t enough to convince some people, and recent performances just make it obviously that he has taken the club as far as he can.
David Moyes has to leave West Ham now
Even if the board make the decision that he deserves a new contract to extend his current deal beyond the summer, Moyes will surely think twice about it now.
With the atmosphere as it is right now, he will surely leave the club at the end of the season – if not before – and give these fans what they want. Be careful what you wish for though, Irons.
