Diouf to help West Ham sign ‘the next Sadio Mane’ as new transfer lined up
West Ham have been assessing their attacking options over the last few weeks as Graham Potter looks to add more depth to his side.
Potters’ side have so far used some of the £55million from the sale of Mohammed Kudus to fund the signings of El Hadji Mallick Diouf and Kyle Walker-Peters.
The Irons could now turn their attention towards signing an attack-minded player, with Jack Grealish and Harvey Elliott linked.
Meanwhile, new signing Diouf could have a hand in convincing one of his fellow Senegalese internationals to move to East London.

West Ham and Southampton battle to sign Idrissa Gueye
West Ham managed to hijack a move for ex-Southampton wingback Walker-Peters after he looked set to sign for Besiktas
The Hammers have been pushing to sign creative players so far this summer, with Southampton’s Mateus Fernandes on their radar, and the Saints could now launch an attack of their own on West Ham.
As reported by Alan Nixon via his Patreon on Tuesday (22 July), Southampton have made an official approach for Gueye.
The Saints face competition from the Hammers for the 18-year-old, who has been likened to Sadio Mane. The young attacker who currently plays for Mane’s former side, Metz, is valued at around £18million.
Diouf could give the Hammers the advantage in the race for the forward, with the pair teammates at international level.

Gueye is a left field but solid option for West Ham
Gueye only joined Metz in January but was influential in helping the French side to promotion to Ligue 1.
The winger had previously played for Generation Foot, and his rapid rise through the ranks could make him the ideal option for the Hammers.
Competition | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
Ligue 2 | 17 | 5 | 1 |
Potter has shown before that he can develop young players, and there’s no reason why West Ham shouldn’t allow him to do it again with Gueye.
While the 18-year-old would be a step in the right direction for the Irons, they must still ensure that they bring in some more experienced attackers should he fail to adapt to Premier League football.
