David Sullivan’s West Ham cost-cutting reaches new low, it’s frankly shocking
David Sullivan’s tenure at West Ham continues to get worse as West Ham dropped to new lows in the Premier League.
West Ham’s 2-0 defeat to Brentford on Monday has left them in 19th place after eight games, and Nuno Espirito Santo has a huge job on his hands.
As the clouds continue to darken over the London Stadium, West Ham are now favourites for Premier League relegation.
West Ham fans boycotted the Brentford match in their droves due to growing frustration aimed at David Sullivan, and supporters won’t be happy after what took place during the match.

Callum Wilson’s West Ham career looks to be over
Callum Wilson was an unused substitute against Brentford, leading to speculation over his future in E20.
The loss to Brentford is the latest in a string of defeats at the London Stadium, which has left supporters feeling disillusioned over the future of the club.
With the Hammers 1-0 down for the whole of the second half, the game was calling out for a striker, yet Nuno refused to bring Wilson on in a game where they were getting absolutely battered.

Wilson has a pay-as-you-play clause in his contract, having signed as a free agent in the summer.
Speaking on talkSPORT on 21 October, Andy Goldstein alluded to the fact that Wilson was not used on Monday because it would cost West Ham money every time he plays.
Danny Murphy also criticised the Wilson situation, stating that it was ridiculous for West Ham to bench him for financial reasons.
It’s truly despicable that Wilson is getting treated in this way, yet it wouldn’t shock the West Ham fans, who have already had enough of Sullivan.

Sullivan’s unpopularity amongst Hammers fans is at an all-time high, and results must start to improve; otherwise, tensions could reach boiling point.
If it is indeed true that Wilson is not being used by West Ham due to it costing them each time he plays, that really is shocking.

Callum Wilson saga shows David Sullivan’s incompetency
Sullivan sanctioned the unpopular move from the Boleyn Ground to the London Stadium in 2016, with supporters unsure of leaving Upton Park.
The ground has become soulless and ineffective in creating an intimidating atmosphere for opposing teams, as West Ham haven’t won a match at home since February.
The stadium issue is at the heart of all West Ham’s problems, and with fans furious over recent performances, the apparent decision to leave Wilson out of the team for financial gain is yet another terrible mistake that could cost them dearly.
Despite the Conference League win in 2023, which was down to Moyes’ brilliance, the board haven’t delivered on what they promised West Ham would become on multiple fronts.
There are countless examples of Sullivan’s incompetency as an owner, yet unfortunately for West Ham fans, it doesn’t look like he’ll be stepping down any time soon.
