David Sullivan strikes again as dream West Ham managerial target found
Graham Potter is edging closer to the sack as West Ham manager.
Potter could soon be relieved of his duties as Hammers boss, following their dismal start to the season.
David Sullivan is thought to have already drafted a list of replacements for Potter, whose side sits third from bottom.
West Ham supporters have written a letter of no confidence to the West Ham owners, with Sullivan and Co. being heavily criticised.
Hammers fans have now been given an update on the managerial situation, with Sullivan having reportedly found his dream target.

David Sullivan identifies Gary O’Neil as possible Graham Potter replacement
Sullivan has been scouring the managerial market for a potential Potter replacement, and has now added another name to his list.
Miguel Delaney reported via The Telegraph on 18 September that Gary O’Neill is in line to come in as West Ham boss, should Potter be sacked.
O’Neill is one of five names on the shortlist and is seen as an ideal candidate, as he knows the club following his two-year spell with the Hammers between 2011 and 2013.
More importantly, West Ham would also not be forced to pay compensation to a club for his services, with O’Neil currently a free agent.
This would be a dream scenario for Sullivan, who would have a still up-and-coming manager who would also be a cheap option.
Sullivan is well known for wanting to cut corners, and everything points towards O’Neil being his man.

David Sullivan has to take responsibility for West Ham mess
West Ham’s poor start to the season is a result of a really poor summer transfer window.
While Potter needs to find solutions on the pitch, he has not been helped by the owners’ actions in the transfer market.
Sullivan’s signings have been a real disappointment, and it’s reflected in performances on the pitch.
Summer signings | Price |
Mateus Fernandes | £38 million |
Mads Hermansen | £20 Million |
Callum Wilson | Free transfer |
The West Ham owners are under real pressure to get the next managerial appointment right, with fans’ patience wearing thin.
O’Neill may be the man to take the club forward, but supporters will be quick to turn if a decision isn’t made soon.
