David Moyes struck pure gold with Mohammed Kudus decision after what he did in West Ham United win v Wolves
West Ham United returned to winning ways against Wolves on Sunday and David Moyes must be beaming at his decision to purchase Mohammed Kudus during the summer.
The Ghanaian international scored twice to help the Hammers get back on track in the Premier League with a 3-0 victory over Wolves at London Stadium on Sunday (17 December).
A dominant West Ham looked a different side to the one that suffered a 5-0 thrashing by Fulham at Craven Cottage seven days previously with the win moving the club to eighth in the Premier League.

However as well as Lucas Paqueta, the Irons had the former Ajax man, bought for £38m [Sky Sports, 28 August] in a big-money summer move to thank for his match-winning display.
Kudus’ first half double marked the first time West Ham United summer signing had scored twice in a single game for his new club, making it nine goals in 21 games since arriving in East London.
West Ham have had previous experience of players coming to the Premier League with plenty of expectation and then failing to live up to them, Gianluca Scamacca being the most recent example of somebody who never hit the heights that were anticipated when he joined.

However, there’s a case to argue that the Hammers and David Moyes simply did not have any patience on the Italian international which certainly looks as if they are trying to learn from with Kudus.
Also, Moyes’ reliable attacking quartet of Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paqueta, Michail Antonio and Said Benrahma all started the campaign in fine shape which meant Kudus had to wait for his opportunity with his first starts not coming until October [SofaScore].
Since then, the former Ajax man simply hasn’t looked back, scoring five goals and registering one assist in the Premier League and nine goals in all competitions helping Moyes paper over the cracks of his striker problem at the London Stadium.
Against Wolves on Sunday, Kudus also won a whopping 14 of his total duels, compelted five of his seven duels, completed 100% of his crosses, 66% of his long balls, registered one key pass and winning five fouls.

The Ghanaian, as he has shown before at the World Cup last year and in the Champions League for Ajax, is a high-level performer the West Ham United fans and the whole club are certainly benefitting from his cutting-edge, decisiveness and incredible influence in front of goal.
If that gets the Hammers to reach their targets at the end of the season, then Moyes certainly should be considered a genius for his masterstroke decision to sign Kudus before any one else.
Kudus is a gold-standard addition.
In other West Ham news, a journalist has made a prediction over Kudus’ future after what he saw at the weekend.
