David Moyes return on the cards again after new West Ham United developments

West Ham supporters have been extremely displeased with Julen Lopetegui’s reign of terror at the London Stadium.

A split number of fans were calling for Moyes to be sacked due to the Hammers’ form throughout the 2023/24 campaign but Lopetegui clearly looked to be the wrong replacement.

Concerns raised over the Spaniard have now become reality, with West Ham stalling in 14th in the Premier League table, having claimed just five wins from their first 15 matches.

While there were multiple positives to take from the 2-1 win over Wolves recently, back-to-back embarrassing defeats to Arsenal and Leicester City forced fans to see red.

With supporters’ voices only getting louder when it comes to pushing Lopetegui out the exit door, it remains to be seen who could be the one to replace him right now.

David Moyes to replace Julen Lopetegui at West Ham United?

It is understood that Graham Potter is the leading candidate should Lopetegui be sacked [Sami Mokbel]. However, Sullivan could be swayed by the idea of another romantic reunion with Moyes.

According to Alan Nixon [8 December], the Scot could return for a third spell in East London in a “remarkable” twist and is happy to wait for his chance to appear.

It also appears that Moyes has informed the West Ham owner of his availability for work, as per The Sun, with the 61-year-old speaking to Sullivan recently.

He certainly has a history of returning to the London Stadium, having saved the Hammers from Manuel Pellegrini in 2019, and it might not be the final time fans see this happen.

The majority of fans would likely be against another reunion with their former manager but many are backing Sullivan to sack Lopetegui already.

In other West Ham news, the club could already seek an exit for a 2024 signing, his actions do not represent the Hammers.
