David Moyes must seriously consider award-winning Callum Marshall after rapid West Ham United rise

David Moyes has made plenty of fantastic decisions already this season, with West Ham flying high in all competitions.

And while the current state of affairs is undoubtedly most important, the man in the dugout must also have one eye on the future.

Fortunately the future at the London Stadium is very bright indeed, with one sensation currently stealing all the plaudits.

Young striker Callum Marshall registered four goals and two assists in the Premier League 2 last month, with his displays now earning him the Player of the Month award for September.

“Callum Marshall has been named the PL2 Player of the Month for September 2023, topping an eight-man shortlist selected by the Premier League’s Football Development Panel,” according to the official Premier League website.

“His impressive start to the season has continued the fine form he has displayed since joining West Ham’s Academy in January 2022.”

The teenager scored 23 goals in the 2022/23 season as the club won an Under-18 Premier League South and FA Youth Cup double, with the superb displays not looking like stopping anytime soon.

It has been a rapid rise for the young star, who must surely now be considered by first-team manager Moyes, particularly given the various competitions that West Ham are currently competing in.

The man in the dugout has the likes of Michail Antonio, Danny Ings and Divin Mubama to call upon, but may just need another striker as the club look to challenge in the Premier League, League Cup, FA Cup and Europa League this season.
