David Gold shares Xande Silva image on Issa Diop related post
David Gold has made yet another Twitter blunder, which will certainly annoy the West Ham fans even further.
Defender Issa Diop made his 100th appearance for the club in the win against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup.
A proud moment, and one that certainly deserved praise from the hierarchy at the London Stadium.
While the tweet above puts Gold in a very good light, it wasn’t the original version.
Instead of posting Diop’s picture with the tweet, he ended up attaching Xande Silva’s image to it.
The former Hammers attacker, who left the club in the summer for Nottingham Forest, may not be pleased to see this error from Gold.
It also wouldn’t make Diop or the fans too happy either as it seems pretty clear that the man does not recognise the Hammers players.
It seems like, no matter what his intentions are, Gold just does not seem to get things right.
It’s strange that despite so many blunders on Twitter, he still does not hire a social media manager for himself.
His relationship with the fans is fractious, to say the least, and instances like these are only going to further isolate him from the supporters.
We’re hoping that the recent links to Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky materialise and after a minority stake, he soon takes over full control.
According to Sky Sports, he is close to buying a 27 per cent stake in the club with a view to a possible takeover in the future.
The sooner GSB are out, the better for this glorious club and its wonderful fans.
