Danny Ings could be forced out of West Ham United as transfer news emerges from Spain
Danny Ings could be forced out of West Ham United if Julen Lopetegui gets his wish and Youssef En-Nesyri signs for the club this summer.
With Lopetegui taking charge of the Hammers from David Moyes he is looking to put his stamp on the squad during the transfer window.
This has seen links to players formerly coached by the Spaniard with En-Nesyri from Sevilla being subject to interest in recent weeks [Vamos Mi Sevilla].
As a result of the interest in a striker, the new head coach may look to move on some current stars ahead of the new season.
West Ham could swap Danny Ings for Youssef En-Nesyri
It is no secret that Ings has struggled to make an impact at the London Stadium since making the move from Aston Villa.
He has made over 50 appearances for the Hammers but has only registered four goals in all competitions since January 2023 [FotMob].
Things haven’t gone quite as either party would have liked which has now seen Lopetegui assess his options in the transfer market.
The Spaniard has worked with En-Nesyri in the past and a move to the Premier League with his former manager could be tempting.
In 28 La Liga starts the Moroccan has scored 16 and provided eight assists while making a further five appearances as a substitute [FotMob].

He is a proper number nine who likes to receive the ball to feet to lay off to teammates or have the opportunity to take a first-time shot from inside the area.
A report from talkSPORT (28 May) has suggested that Southampton may be interested in signing Ings which could be the perfect deal for all parties.
If Ings goes then there is a slot available for En-Nesyri which could bring an end to the striker curse at the London Stadium.
In other West Ham news, Lopetegui and Steidten’s Fabricio Bruno offer to limit of what they can afford.
